The  Hitchcock ISD Education Foundation is proud to announce that thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, the Hitchcock ISD Education Foundation was able to fully fund 32 grants submitted by our dedicated teachers through this year’s PAWS Patrol program. That means dozens of innovative, hands-on, and student-centered projects will soon be making a difference in classrooms across Hitchcock ISD!

Here’s a look at the grants that were funded this year:

  • A Voice for Non-Speaking Students – Gives non-verbal students access to communication tools through iPads and specialized apps.

  • The Quest Center Resource Room – Provides one-on-one instruction for students needing extra academic support.

  • Band Technology – Enhances the HHS marching band experience with digital tools for drill practice and coordination.

  • FTC Robotics Field Components – Adds field elements for our competitive middle school robotics team.

  • Building the Future with Robotics – Supports robotics team growth with essential building tools and parts.

  • Learning Tools for AVID – Supplies headphones to help students stay focused during AVID lessons and college readiness activities.

  • Courtside Seating – Adds padded, professional seating for middle school assemblies and special events.

  • Enriching Lesson Stations – Brings hands-on ELA station activities to engage students in different ways.

  • Conditioning Stations for Youth – Upgrades athletic equipment for beginning athletes at the middle school.

  • ELA Phonics for Life – Implements Reading Horizons phonics curriculum to improve early literacy at HPS.

  • Engineering Class Start-Up – Provides furniture and storage for the new engineering class at CMS.

  • Bulldog Café – Launches a student-led restaurant as part of the Culinary Arts program at HHS.

  • Hydroponics – Expands agricultural science with indoor crop-growing systems and hands-on learning.

  • Building Community/Preserving Resources – Helps reduce campus costs with a laminator and popcorn machine for student incentives.

  • Can You Hear Me Now? – Upgrades sound systems at multiple campuses to improve communication during events and presentations.

  • Discovery Dome – Mayas – Brings an immersive portable dome theater to enhance science and history lessons.

  • Equipping Artists, Enriching Communities – Supports a multicultural art and culture club with supplies for creative learning.

  • Little Learners, Big Tech – Brings Chromebooks and STEM supplies to help our youngest students build digital literacy.

  • Classroom Musical Instruments for Primary – Enhances music education through hands-on instrument learning.

  • Life Lessons into the Classroom – Connects stories to real-world applications through crafts, cooking, and multi-sensory projects.

  • Sensory Friendly Classroom – Creates calm areas and tools to support students with sensory and emotional needs.

  • Sensory Sensations – Establishes a sensory room for students with disabilities to build emotional regulation skills.

  • Fostering Literacy Skills – Adds high-quality, tactile reading materials for kindergarten classrooms.

  • Notebooks to the Next Level – Supports 2nd grade students in organizing their learning through interactive notebooks.

  • Tools for Real-World Readiness – Provides adaptive life skills tools and classroom furniture to support independent living.

  • Staff Serenity Hub – Creates a wellness space for teachers and staff to recharge and reset.

  • STEM for Primary – Adds engaging materials to help young learners explore science and technology.

  • Hands-On Phonics – Offers phonics station tools to reinforce literacy development in 1st grade.

  • STEM Coding – Introduces elementary students to coding concepts through interactive robotics kits.

  • Quest for Kindness – Delivers a schoolwide program focused on building positive peer relationships and anti-bullying strategies.

  • Self-Checking Puzzle Station – Adds an interactive math station to promote critical thinking and independent learning.

  • Empower, Self-Advocate and Learn – Provides flexible seating options that accommodate different learning styles and needs.

Each grant funded reflects a teacher's passion and creativity—and we remain committed to doing even more.

The   Hitchcock ISD Education                           Foundation                         will facilitate student achievement and skill development through grants and scholarships.  They recognize and encourage staff excellence and expand community involvement for individuals, businesses and civic organizations.
